The Samsung Galaxy S2 is the official predecessor of the original Galaxy S Smartphone which is now a year old. The phone has grown up but slimmed down. The developers have managed to fit a dual core processor, 8 megapixel camera and the ability to record full 1080p HD Video.
The original Galaxy S sported a Super AMOLED 4-Inch screen. This screen has been upgraded to a 4.3-Inch Super-AMLED plus display. The Galaxy 2 is among the first dual core phones which are launching in the UK market. The phone is causing fuss and the big question still remains whether the Android based phones have the competence required to kick the iPhone out of its top spot?

Samsung is an expert in designing screens. The Samsung Galaxy S2 sports a perfect display which makes images and video that are viewed on this screen look spectacular. The images appear bright and sharp. The unit is suitable for use in playing back HD videos as well as browsing photos. With the dual-core processor, the speed f the phone is unmatched. In fact, this is among the few Smartphones which are capable of keeping up with the demanding task of steaming service.
The extra power that has been added in the phone helps everything to run silky smooth. You can run loads of apps simultaneously and at the same time have the phone performing excellently. There is no lag when you are browsing or playing exciting games with graphics on the phone.
The unit comes at a good price and is lightweight which makes it a great joy to hold. The back of the phone is textured to help in making the grip of the user stronger. Other parts of the phone are however smooth apart from the rear part. The general design is aesthetically pleasing. Galaxy S2 comes with minimized buttons and port intrusions.
The combination of the power button and screen lock on the right side. The USB charger port is located beneath the handset. The unit does not have HDMI port hence no additional protector panel. Instead, it allows HDMI output using micro USB port. This port will play music in your phone while at the same time it plays videos.
The owners if Galaxy S2 can also share their multimedia goodness through the DLNA. This s a sharing function which is supported by many of the big electronics manufacturers implying that you will be capable of sharing music, photos and videos in amongst your phones and compatible speakers, PCs and TVs. You will also be capable of sharing the homemade photos you will take with the eight megapixel camera.
The HD videos of the phone are also amazing. You will be amazed by the clarity of the videos you will be recording. In addition, the dual core processor is helping this unit to keep up well with the light changes and fast movement. The device also comes with some elementary tools which can be used in clipping videos, adding background music and stills. Unfortunately, it is not capable of editing 1080 videos which is very much unlike Samsung gadgets.
