Why Does the Media Have to Make a Big Deal Out of Every Little Thing?

The other day I read an article about something in an industry that does not know much about. It was obvious that the journalist who wrote the article had never worked in the field, and very probably did not know what they were talking about. The writing was excellent and much better than I have, I can not string together words like that, so I give them an A + for his ability to write. Unfortunately, the article was a total nonsense, and they were making a big deal out of nothing. Okay so, it is common law, oh sure it is, but why the media always has to make a big deal of every little thing, you ask?

Well, as you know there is much competition in the media for the eye, ear and hearing. Today we have newspapers and television, but we also have the Internet with hundreds of syndicated news sources to take information from the 10s of thousands of items different outlets. So they have to actually create a little more sound and fury, and a catchy title, and throw a little controversy, even to maintain their attention span, which on average is probably 17 seconds before pressing the Internet surfer .

However, in many ways, the media is an instigator causing problems do not exist. They are getting all mad and her panties in a tizzy over nothing. To make a mountain out of mole hills, and really stir the pot. Much of the political controversy that we've heard in Congress or our state legislatures is not really a controversy at all, in fact, both sides of the aisle are working on the problem and expect it resolved. Of course, comes the media, and the proverbial manure hits the leaves heavily subsidized wind turbine.

Does that mean we have to reduce how to read articles online, and not jump to conclusions in order to get a fair perspective to the situation? Indeed it does. Worse, when a natural disaster, a media who say that the wind speed was a certain amount, and the following media will try best to put in a little more than fluff, and then the next the media does the same.

It may take a tropical depression, tropical storm to create a media, and the next thing you know it is a cat and five hurricanes, flooding half of Mexico when in fact it was just a little windy normal and a little more rain.

So I say please be careful when watching the news online, because there is no method to his madness, in an attempt to attract more readers, on behalf of getting more from your advertising. In fact I hope to please consider all this and think about it.
